Virtual Mobility 101 Course

If you like intercultural adventures, you will definitely enjoy our VM 101 course. You will experience a virtual travel: international interaction with other European or global participants. Students and tutor meet in a virtual learning environment, where you will also find all resources, guidelines and forums. We recommend this course to all students with a taste for (virtual) travelling. Especially to those interested in virtual Erasmus: taking one or more courses from a university outside your country. VM 101 will prepare you to participate successfully in other virtual courses. With skill in intercultural communication, you may easily travel again and again – virtually, taking courses around the world.

Active participation in the course will enable you to:

  • virtually travel again to other countries;
  • taste virtual mobility;
  • raise your intercultural awareness;
  • access our Cultural Survival Kit: a wiki on European culture and languages);
  • test your knowledge of your own country and other countries (in Europe);
  • gain confidence in intercultural dialogue;
  • learn how to adapt your way of communicating to interactions in multicultural situations;
  • learn and apply rules of online communication.

If you successfully complete this international experience, you will earn two ECTS points.

The course material has been developed in a European Lifelong Learning project (Ready for Virtual Mobility), with the support of Erasmus / Virtual Campuses of the European Union. Now, the course is offered by four partners in Higher Education, ranging from Finland to Slovenia, and from Czech Republic to The Netherlands.
